• Research the “Tea Party Movement.” Find three sources you can use in a position paper Word Count: 1000 -1200. What is this movement and what are its goals? Based on your position either in support or against, write a position paper based on your view of the capability of the movement to change the course of our economy and government? Why or why not? •Use the Toulmin Model to organize your essay. Use the six parts of an argument and establish your claim, ground, warrant, backing, qualifiers and rebuttal in support of your position.
•Your first paragraph will contain a brief introduction to the topic (in which you try to get the reader’s attention) and your thesis statement. Your thesis will be a clear, precise, and specific statement of your position on this topic. Your thesis must be argumentative in nature. No informational theses or papers will be allowed. Each paragraph of the body of your paper should present evidence supporting your thesis. The evidence should be arranged from least most important to most important.
